YOU HOST. THEY CLICK A LINK.
1. Press START ADVENTURE. You get a link.
2. Send that link to your friends however you like. They open it and they are
standing in your world.
3. Keep this tab open — it is the world. Close it and everyone else
carries on playing on their own.
It is your world and it keeps everyone's hero. Host again next week and they are
all still there, right where they left off — and the link is the same one,
because each world has its own permanent room code.
Your friends do not need to install anything — just a browser.
PASTE WHAT THEY SENT YOU.
The whole link or just the code — either one works. The first time you visit a
world you start at level 1 there; after that it remembers you, and your hero is
waiting whenever you come back. Your own saved game is never touched.
Ask whoever is hosting for their link.
ONE PERSON HOSTS. EVERYONE ELSE JOINS.
For people in the same house. No link, no internet — but somebody has to run the
game folder from a terminal.
1. On the host computer, open a terminal in the game folder and run:
npm run host
2. It prints a "On your network" link, like http://192.168.1.20:8080
3. Everyone else opens that exact link in a browser on the same wifi, then picks
Same wifi here. The box below fills in automatically.
Already filled in if you opened the host's link. Otherwise type
ws:// then the host's address and port, e.g. ws://192.168.1.20:8080
Every world recognises you by this code. Copy it onto your other device and
your heroes come with you. Keep it to yourself — anyone with it plays as you.
Sign in with your password, or have a 6-digit code emailed instead — the code makes the
account too, if this is your first time. Signed in, your solo hero is saved to your account as well as to this browser, and comes
